The product literature states it does not take away from the clarity and purity of the retina display, but it does exactly that. When you look at the surface of a new iPad it looks glossy and smooth. This product, like so many screen protectors, has a corrugated surface that takes away from the beauty of the iPad screen. I would not recommend this product if visual clarity is of upmost importance to you.
