5.0 out of 5 stars Installing Lightning Surge Suppression on Cable Drop, March 27, 2012

This review is from: TII 212 Broadband Cable TV & Satellite Lightning Surge Protector 75 ohm 5-1500MHz (Electronics)
Years ago when Comcast installed cables to my home they grounded it without a surge suppressor between their cable and my home. In fact their drop was outside next to the grounding rod. I am changing the grounding block for the new one that also has a lightening surge suppressor. I have changed to Verizon which uses Fiber Optic Cable. However their install uses my current cable install to provide brodband TV and network my router and set top boxes. The lightning ground is the same as for my telephone and electrical sytem. The last thing I want is to have a transformer or line get hit and fry my router, TVs, and set top boxes.
